My career started in September 2020 when I joined LGL as a Trainee Client Administrator. As this was my first role in Finance I didn’t quite know what to expect, however as I was welcomed warmly by my team I quickly realised it was the right career for me.
Despite having to work from home within 3 months of joining LGL, I always felt I was very well supported by my team with daily catch ups and also with the reassurance that if I was stuck with a task my team were just a phone call away.
LGL has a very fun working environment, where everyone works hard and plays harder. Everyone at LGL is very supportive and I would best describe it as a big family, where no one feels afraid to ask questions if they don’t understand something.
All my colleagues at LGL have a very driven work ethic, which motivates me to always do my best. I also feel it is very motivational and rewarding when you are recognised for your hard work not just by other colleagues but also by clients.
As both of my parents have always worked in Finance I have been able to see from a young age what a driven work ethic looks like and the personal benefits this can bring, and I feel this inspires me daily to work to the best of my ability.
In 5 years’ time I would hope to be progressing into higher roles and possibly even managing my own team at LGL… you’ve got to aim high to achieve! I hope I will have finished my ICSA qualification and maybe even starting further qualifications. Overall, I hope that in 5 years time I will still be feeling as fulfilled in my career at LGL as I am now.
